When I wore these leather pants, I had to rave about them on IG. If you find wearing leather bottoms daunting, they’re a lot easier to pull off than you think and can instantly make a set of regular bottoms more chic.

I have a few leather-like bottoms in my collection and they are one of the best fitting and softest bottoms compared to others. They look like a luxurious pair of leather pants and are heavier than regular bottoms, so you don’t need to worry about pairing them with a long top to cover the crotch. There’s a wide elastic band on the inside of the waist that sits comfortably for hours (I forgot I was wearing elastic), and visually, the cinched waist makes for a very flattering look.

It really does feel “soft as butter” as it says above, not at all plastic or squeaky like some synthetic materials, and it has a softer lightweight wool lining.

Fit:The compact length is perfect for me (5ft tall) with sneakers and boots. As with most Topshop items, I’d recommend buying a size up – I usually wear 00P in other brands and these 0P’s fit well. Priced at less than $45, they’re a great deal! In the first photo above, this color looks white, but it’s a true cream color that pairs beautifully with camel, grey, and navy.

It’s also a short haircut

This is a lightweight, flowing blazer in a crepe-like fabric that looks elegant but not too formal. The torso of this jacket is quite long while the sleeves are gathered together and the length is suitable for petite people. I prefer this one a little shorter, but because of its draped material, it doesn’t look or feel as long as more structured traditional blazer fabrics. This dress is unlined with lightly padded shoulders and can be worn with jeans or bottoms in addition to workwear.

I wanted to show that this suit can easily be paired with a pair of flat boots for everyday wear in the fall, or strappy sandals for a date or girls night out!

  1. halogen short jacket

As I had hoped, this dress is perfect for petites and the sleeves that close at the cuffs are perfect for me to wear. It’s shorter than the longer version both where it narrows at the waist and in overall length, which makes it more appropriate for shorter girls. The sleeves are a little wide for me, but the lightweight flowy fabric makes it look like a normal fit. Just like its longer sister, this one is unlined and has very lightly padded shoulders. While the cut of this one is more suited to petite people, I personally prefer to wear it longer because of my casual lifestyle!

I already had last year’s version of this jacket, so I bought this one to try on and see if anything had changed. I’m happy to report that it’s a shrunken cut as before, which is another valuable option for petites as you don’t need to hem or shorten the sleeves. This jacket is a medium thick weight with a more matte, pebbled finish that looks good on anyone.

Fit:Topshop’s UK sizing is always a little smaller than US sizing, so 0P is about the same as the US brand’s 00 small.

  1. BP Waffle Knit Sweater

Textured knits are great for layering and this one is a medium weight, fairly snug and semi cropped in length. I sized up to an XS and kept this, although could probably have gone one size up for a looser fit! Above are cream leather bottoms and below is a pair of kids joggers I bought two years ago because they fit me better than the adult ones.
