Inspired by London street style, I’ve been on the hunt for an oversized blazer for petite figures since last fall. It’s such a chic piece and I love how easy it looks with jeans or even tailored shorts as we transition into fall. For this look, you want the blazer to feel “borrowed from the boys” and roomy, but not swallow up your petite frame. I’m wearing an XS petite, which is one size larger than I usually wear, and it’s perfect for the oversized feel – even with looser clothes, but it’s a great stepping stone to my usual fitted suits!
This is a new brand for me and the quality of the sport jacket is fair and affordable! As we move into fall, I’ll definitely be on the lookout for similar blazers in high quality fabrics. To balance out the look of a loose fitted jacket, I always like to push the sleeves up a bit with a rubber band or hair elastic.
Bershka also produces some trendy pieces that I’m always on the lookout for, like tailored slacks, even though the smaller sizes of these pieces go out of style quickly. I’m also always on the lookout for retailers like this one who ship internationally for free because I know that many of the things I find here aren’t readily available outside of the US!
For a quick and easy look, I paired it here with minimalist strappy sandals, my favorite Reformation knit tank (nice and thick texture), and my favorite Topshop straight leg jeans (see my fit review). These are my go-to white jeans, but as a heads up, just be aware that their petite jeans are short! Regular length jeans are available in more sizes, and if you need to do some hemming yourself, you can check out my tips on how to cut denim to the perfect length and minimize fraying.
