Whenever I show off my ankle pants or sevens during the colder months, I inevitably get a comment or two about how cold my ankles must be! My ankles have toughened up over the decades of winter in the Northeast, but for those of you who can’t stand them, slimming boots are the easy solution.
I recently reviewed this jacket here and wanted to reiterate that it’s an oversized, loose-fitting style that I wear with longer mid-length skirts. The rest of the outfit is made up of favorite basics, including a cozy crew-neck sweater from Nordstrom and delightful pants from Ann Taylor that I bought a while ago (for evening, pair them with a black cami or a fitted black top for a chic jumpsuit effect). I checked the inseam and rise sizes listed in the link are still the same as the pair I’m wearing, and the current version has a center seam on the leg for an elongating effect. I love that the length of these pants is shorter than most petite pants and that I can wear them with low cut shoes and flats!
