Many of the stores on Newbury street in Boston have unfortunately closed, but there are some fun new ones including Glossier, a +F, new Balance, and the ssamzane flash mob. I borrowed a few dresses to do a Boston city guide with them and wanted to share the fit and fabric details of the dresses I tried on.
I’m wearing this romantic and petite “vintage blue” dress and a beautiful emerald and white one with brown polka dots. It’s double layered, but very light and breezy. The dress is gently stretchy and the functional straps help adjust the fit. Size US 2 / FR 34 fit my waist and hips comfortably (not comfortably) and had a little room in the upper part of the chest for me.
What a great white shirt. I’ve been wearing my Everlane shirt for years and it’s still my recommendation for a lighter weight shirt, but I’ve always been in love with the ssamzane Tomboy shirt, which is much more substantial in weight and construction. It’s 100% organic cotton, the fabric has just a hint of texture, and the cut from the collar to the chest pocket is perfectly classic. the size 0 fits me well and isn’t too big.
The Roma shorts also come in a few different colors, starting with size 0, and the same print can be used on skirts and dresses as well!
I finally got to see Justin’s Basket Bag in person, which is a great summer tote option with two functional swivel straps (long and short) and an additional drawstring lined pocket. Hopefully they’ll add this one back in a variety of colors.
